Scope of Work in The Appraisal Process

This Scope of Work in the Appraisal Process course is intended to help appraisers improve their understanding about both the Appraisal Process and the Scope of Work concept. This course presents a detailed overview of the Appraisal Process, with references to the past (2005) and current (2006) editions of USPAP, and gives some practical insights about determining, applying and reporting an appropriate Scope of Work for an appraisal assignment.

Changes to USPAP for 2006 (the most sweeping changes since the original 1987 edition of USPAP) include removal of the Departure Rule and addition of the Scope of Work Rule. While this course is not a USPAP update course, it does provide timely instruction that may help participants be better prepared for compliance with the requirements of the new (2006) edition of USPAP. (The 2006 edition of USPAP will be published about the end of January 2006, and becomes effective after June 30, 2006).

This course is approved by the North Carolina Appraisal Board for seven (7) hours continuing education credit.
